Welcome to the online portfolio of Rachael Procter, a Journalism, Creative Writing and English Literature honours student from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

Work on this portfolio commenced in January 2015. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Scotcampus Magazine and Cult Noise Magazine – in which the majority of my earlier work was published – have since closed their doors.

You can still view most of these articles in this portfolio. However, the hyperlinks contained in these posts, which were designed to guide traffic to the original articles, are now no longer active.

In short? A little bit of everything. While my career prospects are still ever-changing, I felt it  was important to keep track of all of my writing in once place. One thing has remained consistent, however, and that is a focus on journalism: you will find features, reviews and interviews nestled within the depths of this site.

What you won’t find here is any coursework or fiction. I do hope to be a published author one day and it’s for this reason that I am keeping my creative musings off the web to avoid plagiarism.

In addition to having always been a portfolio, Rachael Rites was also once a personal, creative space. While I still regularly get excited over typography, matching stationery and uniformly highlighted ‘Bullet Journals’, I no longer run a weekly Stationery Sunday feature. I am too busy selling stationery part-time in Paperchase

…Please be aware that I find ambiguous emails quite frightening. You can contact me and view my latest work on my Facebook (not fan) page where I’ll be happy to calmly assist you.

It’s been a while. Here’s a little update to get you started.
